Engraving
Each handle comes pre-engraved with the Pullman Tamper logo so you know you've got a genuine Pullman Tamper. However if you want a tamper that's just a bit more personal, why not add your own special message or artwork? A birthday message for a coffee lover; your company logo, slogan or website address; an 'Awarded To' message for a prize. The options are limited only by your imagination!
A range of engraving options are available depending on the product you choose:
- Barista Tamper with Aluminium handles - a multi-layer insert can be engraved with text or a logo of your choice, and covered with a clear polycarbonate disc. This is the most striking option visually. See our shopping facility for more information.
- Barista Tamper with wooden or Acetal handle - text or a logo can be engraved into the insert on the top of the Barista handle and then filled with coloured paint. This still looks good but is more prone to damage than the option above, so we don't recommend it for commercial use.
- All tampers - a logo can be engraved onto the side of the handle of either the Deluxe or the Barista tamper. You will need to supply high-resolution artwork (preferably vector-based).
- All tampers - a single string of text can be engraved around either the Deluxe or the Barista tamper. Your message can be up to 100 characters long in whatever font or style you want, but we recommend you keep your message as brief as possible and in a simple font to ensure readable text, for example, "Dear John, Happy 50th Birthday. Love Mary" would be ideal. Our order page shows a recommended selection of engraving styles, or you can supply your own .ttf font file if you have a font of your own you want to use.
Note for engraving on wooden handles: the engraving process uses a computer-controlled laser to burn your text a few millimetres deep into the wood. Some woods burn darker than others, so make sure you check out the examples in the engraving gallery below to see how engraving looks on the different handles, or e-mail me if you're unsure how your engraving will look.
